Floyd Rose-Style Tremolo Routing Templates

These Floyd Rose tremolo routing templates allow you to make accurate routs in your guitars. Each template is CNC-machined from 10 mm MDF, providing clean edges and excellent repeatability. The tremolo can therefore be installed with accurate positioning and a precise fit.

Three versions are available to cover different needs. The first template is for the front cavity, the second for the rear cavity and the third for positioning the tremolo. Each Floyd Rose cavity template includes precise centre lines for consistent, reliable results.

To use the templates, secure them with clamps or double-sided adhesive tape. Use a bearing-guided pattern router bit to follow the template outline accurately. This method preserves the MDF while producing clean, precise tremolo routs.

MDF is sturdy but sensitive to moisture. Store your templates in a dry place. You can also protect them with suitable varnish or wax. With proper care, they will remain accurate and durable throughout your projects.

Why three templates?

Simply because not all the routs are cut to the same depth. For optimal routing, stack the front templates on top of each other and mark the outlines with a pencil. Then use each template separately to route the cavities to the required depths.
