XL Guitar Fingerboard Radius Sanding Block

The XL guitar radius sanding block transforms the process of sanding guitar and bass fretboards. Shaping the radius is a crucial stage in lutherie and can be difficult to carry out. This extra-wide block makes sanding sessions much more comfortable and precise. Its generous dimensions of 230 × 105 mm allow it to fit fretboards of all widths, from 6-string guitars to 8-string basses.

Carefully made in our workshop, the XL guitar radius sanding block combines an interchangeable 3D-printed sanding block with an injection-moulded plastic holder featuring an ergonomic handle. This design provides an excellent grip and reduces fatigue during long sanding sessions. Even the most complex fretboards can be worked on accurately and comfortably.

Changing the radius is straightforward thanks to a two-screw fastening system secured with wing nuts. It ensures excellent stability while saving time. Replacement blocks, available separately, fit the holder perfectly and are also made in our workshop for an accurate fit.

Although minor 3D-printing imperfections may be visible on the block, they do not affect sanding quality. Using double-sided adhesive tape to secure the abrasive paper ensures even, effective contact across the entire surface.
