B500K Linear Guitar Potentiometer

The B500k linear guitar potentiometer is used for tone control on guitars fitted with humbucking pickups. This electronic component is common in Les Paul- and SG-style circuits and in many other humbucker configurations.

The 500k guitar tone potentiometer has a linear taper: its resistance changes evenly throughout its travel. This characteristic allows progressive, precise adjustment of tone.

The 500kΩ value is generally used with humbucking pickups. It helps retain more high frequencies in the signal. The B500k linear guitar potentiometer works with a tone capacitor to progressively filter the signal's high frequencies.

Every B500k linear guitar potentiometer is individually checked in our workshop. Its resistance is measured with a multimeter to verify that the component meets specifications. The operation of the resistive track is also checked before the part is placed in stock.

The 500k guitar tone potentiometer can be used in many guitar electronics assemblies. It is suitable for traditional Les Paul circuits as well as instrument repairs and modifications. It can also be installed in custom circuits using humbucking pickups.

The B500k linear guitar potentiometer is therefore a simple, reliable component for conventional or customized guitar electronics.
