These dimensions leave ample material for final shaping.

This slotted maple guitar fingerboard comes with CNC-machined fret slots.
The slots are machined to a width of 0.6 mm.
Their depth is 2 mm.
The fingerboard has 22 fret positions.
CNC machining ensures consistent repeatability.
It makes the subsequent fretting steps easier.

Two scale lengths are available as product options.
Choose between 25.5 inches and 24.75 inches.
These two standard scales cover most electric guitars.
Your choice of scale length determines how the neck must be prepared for final assembly.

The slotted fingerboard has not yet been cut to its final outline.
The machined slots therefore run all the way across its width, except when a radius is selected, as the curved surface requires greater slot depth.
This is normal for a rough fingerboard prepared by CNC.
It helps remove chips during fretting.
It also improves visibility when aligning the frets.

This CNC-machined maple fingerboard can be supplied without a radius.
It can also be radiused on request.
Eight radii are available as product options.
The available radii are 7.25 – 9.5 – 10 – 12 – 14 – 16 – 17 – 20 inches.
CNC radiusing ensures an even curvature.
It provides a consistent starting point before final finishing.

The thickness is adjusted and reduced after radiusing to between 6 and 6.5 mm.

The maple has a fine, even grain.
It is easy to sand and level.
It responds well to preliminary finishing operations.
Its uniform structure allows clean machining.
