Majesty-Style Rear Cover Recess Templates

This Majesty guitar rear-cover recess template product comprises two templates for routing the recessed ledges for the rear covers of a Majesty-style guitar body. Both are CNC-machined from 10 mm MDF for stability and reliable accuracy. They are not intended to cut the cavities themselves, which are already included in the body templates, but to route the ledge that allows the rear covers to sit flush with the body.

Each template features a central alignment line to make positioning on the body easier. This reduces the risk of misalignment and ensures that the recess is correctly centred around the existing cavity.

The electronics cavity recess template is used to cut the ledge around the large rear electronics cavity. It produces a consistent, clean offset suited to the protective cover. The 10 mm thickness provides a stable bearing surface when working with a router.

The spring cavity recess template is intended for the smaller tremolo spring cavity. It allows you to machine the ledge on which the spring cover rests. Its central alignment line makes it easier to line up with the corresponding cavity already present in the Majesty body. The template creates an even ledge so that the cover can sit neatly level with the body surface.
